A beautiful home matters, but even more important is how you feel while creating it.

The guiding principle of “People First” is at the heart of every Riemco project. It means ensuring our clients feel heard, informed, respected, and genuinely cared for, from the first conversation to the final detail.

We’re deeply rooted in the communities where we live and work. Our clients are also our neighbors, the people we see while grabbing coffee, picking up groceries, or supporting a local event. That connection matters to us, as does earning the kind of trust people feel good about sharing with others.

We’re grateful for every client who has welcomed us into their home, trusted us with their vision, and shared their Riemco experience with others.

Beautiful homes. Lasting relationships. People first. 💚

This recently completed Riemco home offers a beautiful example of how different woods can come together as one intentional composition.

On the exterior, solid cedar timbers make a striking first impression, while darker, high-contrast beams are stained to match the woodgrain fiberglass front door. Inside, wood-clad timbers carry the exterior palette into a different species, creating a cohesive visual connection between the home’s exterior and interior.

In our latest blog, we describe how the designers and paint experts collaborate to create a cohesive palette through careful testing, coordination, and a clear understanding of the client’s vision. Find the link in comments to read the full article. 👇

Putting people first means helping clients feel confident in every decision, including how they will live in a space once construction is complete.

For this living room, our design team created a mood board and detailed rendering to help the client visualize how furniture, finishes, and architectural elements would work together. We also provided a measured layout, giving her a practical guide for selecting appropriately scaled pieces and arranging them within the room.

It is one more way we bring clarity to the design process: listening to how a client wants to live, simplifying the choices in front of them, and providing thoughtful tools that turn a vision into a comfortable, cohesive home.

Honoring the past, thoughtfully reimagined.

Over the course of three projects, Riemco had the opportunity to restore and modernize this mid-century home while preserving the character that makes it so distinctive.

Custom walnut cabinetry with a horizontal grain brings warmth to the updated kitchen, while the original curved wall becomes a focal point with rich teal tile. Large windows maintain the home’s connection to its surroundings, and carefully considered lighting highlights the ceiling and fireplace stone throughout the interior.

Rather than reinventing the home, each phase built thoughtfully upon what was already there, introducing modern comfort and function while respecting its architectural roots. The result feels cohesive with the home’s history, suited to the homeowners’ lives today, and thoughtfully planned for the years ahead.

Returning to this home for three separate projects has been especially meaningful to our team. We’re excited to finally share the completed spaces!

Putting people first begins with listening.

At the beginning of every project, we invite our clients to complete a priority card exercise. As they sort, we listen to how they interpret each element of their future project, what matters most, and why. Then we share what we see, explain how design and construction decisions can affect scope and cost, and refine the priorities together.

These early conversations create a clear framework for the project. With input from our design team and experienced estimator, we can protect the features that matter most, have transparent budget discussions, and guide informed decisions from the start.

That clarity continues into selections. Our designers curate thoughtful options that fit the project’s established parameters, respecting both the client’s budget and their time.

Putting people first means listening closely, educating openly, and designing around what matters most to them.

Thoughtful material decisions can give a finished detail meaning far beyond its function.

For this retaining wall, we’re using varied stones from the property where the owner grew up. By carrying that material into the current project, the design preserves a tangible connection to the family’s history while creating a feature that feels grounded in the character of the site.

It’s an example of how continuity, context, and craftsmanship can come together in one detail. Good design considers how something will look and perform. Meaningful design also considers what it carries forward.

We’re honored to be recognized by Qualified Remodeler as a 2026 Customer Satisfaction Leader.

For us, this recognition is about more than the homes we create. It reflects the trust our clients place in us, the care our team brings to every detail, and the lasting relationships we’ve built.

From custom homes to thoughtful renovations and additions, we believe the client’s journey should feel as considered as the finished space.

Thank you to every client, team member, and partner who has been part of the Riemco story. Here’s a look at some of the work we’re proud to have created together. 💚

Every person involved in a project sees it through a different lens, and the best solutions often emerge when those perspectives meet on site.

During a recent visit, members of the Riemco team met with our siding partner Peak Home Exteriors to review installation logistics, confirm material takeoffs, and work through an important trim detail.

Together, they developed an approach that conceals the visible J-channel for a cleaner finish while maintaining proper water management. It’s a small detail with a meaningful purpose: honoring the design intent without compromising how the exterior needs to perform.

Respect means valuing each person’s expertise, asking the right questions, and solving challenges together. The client may have one primary point of contact, but there is an entire team thinking ahead and working on their behalf.

Different perspectives. Shared responsibility. One team.

Respect begins with listening, then designing around what matters most.

For this couple, that meant updating the home where they raised their family to better support life today, while also planning thoughtfully for the years ahead.

The remodel included a full kitchen renovation, an updated fireplace wall, a new mudroom/drop zone, a new three-piece bath, and a screened-in porch addition. The den was also transformed into flexible office and guest space, with the option to become a first-floor primary suite in the future.

Upstairs, the primary bath was reworked for better storage, function, and accessibility, including a spacious walk-in shower.

The result is proof that aging-in-place planning doesn’t have to feel clinical or compromise beautiful design. Every change was considered as part of the whole, creating a home that feels fresher, more functional, and ready for what comes next.

Swipe through the before-and-after gallery to see how practical needs became thoughtful design decisions.

Respect isn’t simply how we treat our clients. It’s how we design the entire experience.
