Our mission is to provide thoughtful design and create meaningful spaces. We believe that life informs design and form follows function. haywoodmade is led by Kelsey Haywood, a start-up business maven turned entrepreneur, who values beautiful relationships as much as beautiful design. The haywoodmade aesthetic draws inspiration from elements found in nature. We curate a mix of color, materials and

layers to achieve spaces that shine. Kelsey grew up in a small town in Indiana and comes from a family of builders and makers. That background instilled a deep work ethic and trained vision at the core of her being. She now lives in a 1920s bungalow with her husband and three children. The breakfast nook replaced an unused built-in desk and we used the same cabinet color on the v-groove back and added a long drawer under the seat to accommodate hosting platters.

This La Maison Pierre Frey wallpaper was a late addition to the living room and is a beautiful moiré with blush, black and white in the stripe.

Our client’s love of teal and peacock tones makes an appearance in the drapery trim and velvet pillows grounded by a terracotta vintage rug.

In the powder bathroom, we brought in more of those blush and soft terracotta colors found in other areas of the home. This time through a Serena Dugan grasscloth wallpaper.

Replacing the modern backsplash was a must for our client. We went with this paddle tile in a pale blue and installed horizontal rather than vertically.

One of my favorite rooms in the house: the sunroom. Previously painted a brighter blue, we brought the outdoors in with Farrow & Ball Suffield Green and grounded it with an earthy vintage rug.

A dining room can be connected to the surrounding spaces and still feel like a destination of its own. A deep floral wallcovering gives the ceiling visual weight, while layered molding and softened arches create rhythm to the rest of the main floor creating a space that feels grounded enough for gathering, but relaxed enough for everyday life.

Sometimes, the clearest way to define a room isn’t by adding walls. It’s by designing every space flows into the next with intention.
