I’ve been thinking a lot about AI lately.
Not from a place of fear… but from a deeper question:
What actually makes something matter?
We’re entering a world where images can be generated instantly. Infinite variations. Endless output.
But something is missing.
There’s no lived experience behind it.
No memory.
No risk.
No emotional cost.
When I create a painting, I’m not just arranging color and form. I’m translating something from my life into something visible.
That’s the difference.
AI can generate. It cannot care.
And care is where meaning comes from.
I’ve seen people stand in front of my work and feel something real. Sometimes even emotional. That moment… that connection… that’s not something you can automate.
So I’m not trying to compete with AI.
I’m doubling down on what makes us human:
experience
story
imperfection
presence
Because in the end:
You can automate production.
But you cannot automate meaning.
If you’re a creator, I’m curious…
How are you thinking about this shift?
