These chickens absolutely LOVE Justin. ❤️🐔

The moment they see him coming, they all rush over and gather at the chicken yard gate, excited to see him. He’s completely spoiled them with treats—mealworms, kitchen scraps, and plenty of attention. And yes… I said attention. 😂

Some of them will actually fly right up onto his shoulder (and occasionally his head 😜). If he sits down to spend time with them, they’ll hop up onto his knee and sometimes even fall asleep there.

It’s honestly one of the cutest things ever.

At this point, he reminds me of the pigeon lady in Puerto Rico (or the one from Home Alone) 😂🤣🐔❤️

The house smells like garlic! 🧄😍

We had to bring the rest of our garlic harvest inside to finish curing because rain is on the way, and garlic won’t cure properly if it stays damp. Now to tie all of these up…. 🤨. Those unused garlic scapes - don’t worry. Those won’t go to waste. They will get chopped up and put into a jar of oil for later use.

This bulb is about the average size of what we harvested this year—some are a little smaller, some a little larger—but overall, I’m pretty happy with the crop! Not bad at all.

What really has me excited is the aroma. These bulbs smell incredibly strong and garlicky (is that even a word 😜?), which gives me no doubt they’re going to be absolutely packed with flavor when it’s time to use them in the kitchen.

There’s something so satisfying about growing your own food and watching it come full circle from planting, to harvesting, to curing, and eventually sharing it around the dinner table. ❤️🧄🙏

Eat the rainbow! The HOMEGROWN rainbow!

Tonight we had sauted homegrown onion, garlic, and yellow squash along side of a delicious, slow smoked pulled pork Justin cooked for over 12 hours! It all came out so delicious.

But can I say…look how pretty that is!! 😍🙌🙏❤️

Picture this… 4.43 pounds of berries harvested by hand, barefoot in the garden, while listening to quantum physics podcasts, with birds singing in the background. Absolutely dreamy.

Moments like these remind me that I’m truly living the life I once only dreamed about. ❤️

That little spark? Yeah… it just fully ignited. 🔥

In this moment, I can clearly see my future self—and the beautiful thing is, she isn’t some distant version of me waiting six months or a year down the road. That thing that lights me up? That THING has become a reality.

She’s here.

The life I dreamed about, worked toward, cried over, sacrificed for, and refused to give up on is unfolding right now. Not someday. Not when everything is perfect. Not after I hit some magical milestone.

Now.

There’s something incredibly powerful about realizing you don’t have to wait to become the person you want to be. You simply start living as that person today.

And that’s exactly what I’m doing.

The spark became a flame, and friends… it’s only getting brighter from here. 🔥❤️✨

And the best part? Those dreams just took a giant leap forward. There are some exciting things happening here at Kindred Acres, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Stay tuned… there’s so much more to come! 🙌🫐
