Here’s a look at a recent project where we took an encapsulated crawl space to the next level by introducing dimple board.
Here’s what the process looked like:
✅ Pulled back the existing v***r barrier
✅ Installed and secured dimple board to the floor
✅ Pulled the plastic back over the dimple board
✅ Added approximately 1.5 ft of overlap at the seams
✅ Finished with a clean, secure tape seal
Dimple board beneath the v***r barrier helps manage moisture, improve drainage, and protect the barrier from punctures — giving your crawl space long-term durability.

❌ Plastic raised ALL the way past the termite gap
❌ Zero insulation
❌ Wrong tape used — they used DUCT TAPE 🤦
❌ Everything taped completely wrong
❌ No dehumidifier installed
❌ No AVS fan or ventilation system
⚠️ RADON LEVELS ARE HIGH — because there is ZERO ventilation
This isn’t just bad work. This is a health hazard. Radon gas builds up in unventilated crawl spaces and it is the #2 cause of lung cancer in the US. 😳

The finish line is SO close! 🏁✨
We just wrapped up our encapsulation project and the transformation is unreal. All that’s standing between us and the final walk-through is one new PVC door install — and then this baby is DONE! 🚪💪

We’re wrapping up the final steps — getting the piers and foundation walls wrapped with our 20 mil reinforced v***r barrier, all mechanically attached for a tight, long-lasting seal. This is one of the best things you can do to protect your home from moisture, mold, and structural damage.

We came across a crawl space where a drain line was run through the foundation wall… but here’s the problem 👇

❌ They sealed it with orange spray foam
❌ The hole is BELOW grade (underground level)
❌ That means water WILL find its way in
