A little apparel update from your friendly neighborhood Baba Yaga! 🖤🐦‍⬛

The “I want this one!” and “Are these listed yet?” messages have been making me smile. 😭 Thank you for being so excited to wear my artwork! 🖤🥹

You haven’t missed them—the apparel isn’t listed online yet. I’ve been trying out the samples, as I always do, taking actual photos, and working out the listing details, including pricing. The ones I’ve been wearing are getting their first wash tomorrow, too! 🫶🏻 I’ll share prices and ordering information when they’re ready, right here. 🖤

AND my very first tee sold at the market today—a Baba Yaga, of course! 💙 Apparently my chicken-legged hut is officially going places without me.

Apparently I’ve been decorating our living room like I’m trying to disappear into Over the Garden Wall. 🍂🕯️🖤

My husband and I were overdue for a rewatch, and now we can’t stop singing the songs or referencing the show in everyday conversation. Potatoes and molasses, anyone? 😭

I’ve also been itching to make a piece inspired by it lately. Which would, of course, bear no resemblance to any particular autumnal woodland cartoon whatsoever. Sweats nervously. 😅😉

When The Salem Plant Witch suggested T-shirts featuring my art, I was admittedly a bit skeptical—but I’m honestly thrilled with how they turned out. My strange storybook folk art has officially escaped home décor. Now you can wear it. 🐦‍⬛🖤

So it looks like what was previously described as “narrowing” is now being attributed to my colon’s anatomy. It made advancing the scope especially difficult and required extra maneuvering and abdominal pressure to complete the colonoscopy…which explains a lot for me and my symptoms I’ve been living with for years now, tbh. 🥲 For my future colonoscopies, they will use a pediatric scope.

My flares can be debilitating and are exacerbated by stress (I have been keeping a meticulous log since they worsened over the last year and every single flare was linked to a period of profound stress so 🥲), and I’m still figuring out how to manage something that dictates far too much of my life. I will need to continue to take laxatives indefinitely to manage the traffic jam that is my colon, lmao. Still waiting on biopsy results too to check for any inflammation, as they were thankfully taken this time. 🖤

So much frustration getting to this point, and having to get through prep again was…a lot, lmao. Hoping today’s colonoscopy and upper endoscopy go smoothly and they take the planned biopsies—which should have been taken last year, hence our frustration (and Nick’s rage lmao) at having to do this all over again. Hopefully we leave with a clear explanation of what they saw and when we’ll hear more. 🖤

And most importantly, I’m just looking forward to what I’m going to eat when I’m outta there. 😭
