As I go to bed tonight I just want to give praise and thanks to my Jesus! I am so thankful to my supportive best friend whom I am honored to share my life and dreams with, I am thankful and proud of all 7 of my adult children and soon to be 5 grand kids, I am thankful for my mom and dad, and for their health. Jesus thank you for the abundance of blessings you shed upon our farm and family, and please do not let me ever take it for granted. I praise Your name and try my best to share You with those I come in contact with, and thank you for all my friends, whether church, community, coworkers, or those I have yet to meet in person. Jesus I love you❤️

Match made in heaven today❤️ that would be me and two goats. As many know I milked goats for at least seven years and loved them. Two years ago we (only me) made a hard decision to sell our herd. There has been a hole in my heart ever since. A couple weeks ago Geoff made comment that we need a couple just to keep some weeds down…I have looked and looked and it was either only one for sale or $200. Goats are herd animals and I couldn’t imagine 300-400$ for 2 “weed eaters”. Then a text message asking if I knew someone willing to take 2 goats, you’re kidding me!!!! They are perfect with imperfection’s but they are gonna be so loved. Been hard to do what needed to be done today. Thank you Miss Debbie❤️

The last couple of nights while feeding and doing all things on the farm I have been thinking on all the content I share. As I am doing all my tasks I usually catch up with all my other homesteaders/farmers I follow on podcasts and You Tube. Then on my way to work I passed the gas station and diesel was $5.19/gal.
‼️$5.19‼️ To some that may not matter if you don’t use diesel but it should. That being said I am considering adding some content pertaining to preparedness, mindset of today’s events, and things we do . I would love some feedback as to if this would be beneficial to you. I worry because farm life isn’t all the beautiful pictures you see, life isn’t but I do not want to provide content that is controversial, and some think I post too often. Where is the happy median, what would help you be more prepared? ❤️❤️❤️

I have been out of pocket the last three days, but for a great cause. I prepared a meal for 100 attendees at our EMS conference. I couldn’t have done it without our walk in cooler…60 lbs pork smoked and pulled, 30lbs of potatoes peeled, green beans, baked beans, cucumber salad and 16 dz cookies. I won’t eat pork for months 🤪
