I'm sorry I've been a little extra quiet lately. I've had two sick kiddos home with me all week (including today). Fevers, vomiting, and never-ending coughing have kept us busy all on their own.

🎶 Band Camp Update: Zyla reached her fundraising goal thanks to so many wonderful people and some incredibly generous donors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. She still has a few fundraiser Snappies available on the website and at Lake Vibes if you'd like to grab one before they're gone.

Congratulations to Rachel!

Sweetluxe has always been a very giving and pay-it-forward type of community. When we posted our contest Khonstance came through with the chosen theme deeming her the winner. When I reached out to her she said that she didn't want anything (she's been a supporter for many years and has a massive stash of her own) and that she's just thrilled to be part of the process. We then agreed to pass her prize to Rachel, who agreed on the post that the theme would be awesome!

We’ve been saving and planning a summer trip for Zyla to visit her aunt, uncle, and new baby cousin in Seattle. Then, a few days ago, she informed me she needed $350 for mandatory band camp in order to participate in marching band… with the payment due June 2nd. 😅

The catch? The rest of the band received their fundraising information back in March. Zyla dropped the ball completely and somehow expected us to magically fund both trips that happen literally days apart.

And if you know Zyla, you know she lives for three things: soccer, art, and band.

So we told her this:
If she wants both opportunities, she’s going to have to work hard and help earn it herself.

That’s where “Band Camp Blues” was born. 💙

Zyla curated this scent entirely on her own. She chose every fragrance note, designed the labels, and even poured the Snappies herself. I supplied the materials, but this project was all her.

With notes of vanilla waffle cone, blueberry, and a bright citrus twist, this gourmand blend smells absolutely incredible. She chose blue and gold colors to represent her school spirit and named the scent herself.

So if you grab one, just know you’re supporting a hardworking kid learning responsibility, deadlines, and determination in real time.

And honestly? That feels pretty special.
