🌿✨ Have you ever heard of a Shampoo Ginger Plant?! ✨🌿

This is one of those plants that makes you stop and say, “Wait… you can DO that with a plant?!” 😂

Shampoo Ginger, also known as Awapuhi, is a tropical ginger that produces beautiful, pinecone-like flower heads filled with a fragrant, natural liquid that has traditionally been used as a hair cleanser and conditioner. 🫧🌺

And yes… that sweet-smelling liquid really does come straight from the plant! 🤯

It’s also just a beautiful, unique addition to the garden, especially if you love growing things that are a little different from the ordinary. These will need to be brought in or protected from our winters as they are a tropical climate plant. They make a beautiful house plants‼️

I’m separating mine and will have plants available for purchase soon! 🌱

🍓 Here’s your reminder to get those beds ready if you’re planning on planting strawberries this fall for spring berries! 🍓

We spent most of the day reclaiming this bed from the weeds! 😳 Let’s just say…they had definitely decided this was THEIR bed.

🍓 Did you know many commercial and market growers plant new strawberry plants every year?

There’s a good reason for it! Planting fresh, healthy plants each season can help maximize production and give you the most productive crop possible.

That’s exactly what we’re working toward here. We’ll finish pulling out these old plants, salvage some runners, and get this bed ready for our new plants next month. 🌱🍓

So if you’re planning on growing strawberries for spring berries, now is the time to start getting those beds cleaned up and prepared!

If you’ve been around long enough, you probably met our Lola before she passed. ❤️

Lola was about a 4/5 on the clingy scale—and that was BEFORE she lost her vision. 😂 She wanted to be carried around like a sack of potatoes, always over the LEFT shoulder.

Why the left? Not a clue. 🤷‍♀️ But apparently, that detail mattered VERY much to her. 😂‼️

Now meet Bentley…

He’s about a 12/5 on the clingy scale. 😂 Unless he’s playing or eating, he is ATTACHED to my every move. If I move, he moves. If I sit down, he’s there. If I go to bed…well, sleeping is a whole other level of clingy.

He must be held. Period. 😂❤️

And then there’s our sweet little doodlebug, Cash. 🥰

He’s still super tiny and is the biggest cuddle bug. He’s also our water baby, just like Lola was. He loves playing in the water bowls and will even get in the shower with you. 😂🚿

But Cash is an independent sleeper. He’s perfectly happy sleeping on his own and will oftentimes give Bentley the absolute STANK EYE when Bentley decides he needs to get up in the middle of the night. 😂😂

Cash is super mellow, super chill, and just happy to be along for the ride.

It’s funny how every dog has their own little personality. ❤️

Lola may always be our original clingy girl, but Bentley is definitely giving her a run for her money! 😂🐾
