Did you know most ceiling fans can reverse direction? Or have you been using the same setting through all 12 of South Carolina’s seasons? 😂

FUN FACT FRIDAY: Changing your fan’s direction actually makes a difference!

☀️ Summer: Counterclockwise pushes air down for a cooling breeze.

❄️ Winter: Clockwise on LOW helps circulate warm air near the ceiling back down to the people paying the heating bill.

The ceiling can get its own blanket. 🤷‍♀️

Have outdoor fans? Reversing direction on your covered porch helps reduce that direct downward breeze, too!

Check the direction while standing underneath and looking up. Turn the fan off and let the blades stop completely before switching. Depending on your fan, the reverse setting may be on the fan itself, remote, or wall control.
