For Effie Spentzos, the Riverside Remodel was about making important everyday spaces feel more comfortable, useful, and connected to the way she lives.

Aging-in-place design does not have to make a kitchen feel clinical. Often, it simply means smarter planning. Better lighting, easier storage, safer flooring, wider walkways, pullout shelves, and hardware that is easier to grip can all make a kitchen more comfortable now while supporting long-term use later. This is especially important for homeowners who love their neighborhood and want to stay in the home they already know.

The goal is not to design around limitations. The goal is to create a kitchen that remains useful, welcoming, and comfortable as life changes!
