In 2016, five-year-old Murtaza Ahmadi from Afghanistan became an internet sensation after being photographed wearing a homemade Lionel Messi jersey fashioned from a blue-and-white plastic shopping bag with "MESSI 10" written on the back.

His family couldn't afford an official Argentina shirt, so his older brother carefully cut, folded, and tied the plastic bag into a jersey just to comfort the football-obsessed little boy. 🥹

The touching photo spread across the world until it reached Lionel Messi. Through UNICEF, the football legend sent Murtaza signed Argentina and Barcelona jerseys, an official football, and later fulfilled his greatest dream by meeting him in Qatar, where they walked onto the pitch together before a match. 🧡

Sadly, the family's newfound fame also brought unexpected hardship.

False rumors that they had received large sums of money led to thre@ts, forcing them to flee their home and seek safety elsewhere. 😥

His story is a reminder that dreams really do come true—but they can also bring challenges no child should have to face. Even so, the world will always remember the little boy whose plastic bag jersey reached Lionel Messi's heart. 🧡

HONORING OUR HEROES: Today marks the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings — a pivotal moment in World War II, when tens of thousands of Allied soldiers stormed the French coastline to liberate an imprisoned Europe.

“Thousands of brave Americans advanced into chaos to save civilization,” said U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker in a message honoring those brave Americans. “We stand forever grateful for these heroes.”

Honoring all the members of our armed forces who gave what President Abraham Lincoln called "the last full measure of devotion," Memorial Day is one of the most important and solemn days on the National Mall. Across 250 years of American history, starting with those who fell while fighting alongside General George Washington in the Revolutionary War to recent conflicts, we will never forget our heroes. The military memorials on the National Mall are stunning tributes to hundreds of thousands of people who laid down their lives for freedom. Today we lay wreaths at these special places, but every day, walking past stone walls and metal statues, we recognize the loved and lost and offer the thanks of a grateful nation.

Les was up and going this Saturday morning🌅 to check out a job in Nortonville.

He found an email📩 sent 6pm Friday‼️ that a problem with a service needed dealt with before Evergy turns them off Monday.

How 🍀 lucky for the homeowners/renter that he works hard and is considerate?

And the person who sent the work order: what did you realistically hope would be done over the weekend?⁉️⁉️🤔

1️⃣Yes the guys travel 🧳 around a large area.
2️⃣Yes they try to get to weekend and after hours within reason and in extenuating circumstances.
3️⃣Yes, sometimes they have to make up where others may fail.
