This little business has undergone so many changes lately, and if you’re new here, I would love to take a second to introduce myself. 💕
I’m Pita, and almost seven years ago, I started this passion project called Pita’s Planters! This was never supposed to become what it is today (but that’s how life works, and I’m so grateful for it).
Pita’s Planters was born during a very difficult time in my life, when I was struggling with Panic Disorder. I was experiencing panic attacks almost daily, and at some points, I genuinely questioned whether a life filled with so much anxiety and fear was worth living.
During that time, two of the things that always brought me joy were growing plants and creating pots, and I wanted to share that joy with the world!
David, my now-hubby and co-owner, joined me on this adventure from the very beginning. He helped me prepare for local markets and eventually helped bring my vision of a “mobile plant shop” to life. This was truly a labor of love from the very beginning. We didn’t know crap about building anything, but somehow we figured it out. Haha
Almost 3 years ago, we were finally able to save up enough money to open our very own shop! This little shop has experienced so many ups and downs, and we’ve made our fair share of mistakes along the way, but we’ve also learned SO much.
After all the unprecedented changes we’ve experienced lately, I’ve been reminded of why I started this in the first place: because I wanted to create a safe, loving space where the chaos of the world could feel a little less loud for everyone.
And we plan to continue doing that for as long as we possibly can. We want to be here for a very long time. Sharing this hobby with you and continuing to connect over our love for plants.
