I’ve never had much interest in playing it safe ;) I’ve always been drawn to rooms with a little mischief—spaces that feel personal, layered, imperfect in the best ways, and completely alive.

For me, interior design has never been about creating spaces something everyone will like—it’s about creating something that could only belong to you.

Hunt Slonem wallcovering. Carlucci velvet. Vanguard leather. Murano glass. Our Hamilton Sinkler hardware. Then mix in a home theater, piano, custom bar and w**e room. The result? A lower-level speakeasy where more is definitely more.

Revisiting this video as work is underway in Santa Barbara! ☀️

I chat with my contractor about making some changes in the kitchen and maybe the walls (I’m so torn… still !!) I absolutely love the history — it’s a sea ranch-style, designed by James Morris with so much character and I want to keep that charm while making it feel fresh.

For me it’s all about finding that sweet spot between modern updates and honoring what makes a home so special.

A powder room that may be small, but has no interest in being quiet. 🦋 The butterfly kaleidoscope wallpaper turns the walls into artwork, and the dramatic Keystone Prunella marble gives the room its architectural punch.

I’ve always firmly believed a powder room is the perfect place to take a few risks.

I knew I didn’t want this room to feel untouchable — somewhere you’d want to have a drink, sink into a chair, and hang out for a while. I knew Made Goods would be the perfect choice to help bring that feeling to life.

Looking back at our Pink Rhino Club for the 50th anniversary of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York, I still love how their pieces helped us strike that balance between luxury and ease—special without ever feeling too precious.

That’s always the goal for me: a room you want to experience, not just look at.
