Picture standing in that parking lot, looking at this wall.

That's the moment before any of this repaint work happened. A property manager stood right there and saw paint peeling across the whole building. Not a small patch. The whole thing.

That wall was the first thing every tenant saw walking to their car. The first thing every visitor noticed before they even reached the door.

So, a call got made. Fix it right, not just patch it.

Here's what that decision looks like now.

A new landmark is taking shape in Denver’s Upper Downtown, and Shaker Painting is part of the work happening behind the scenes.

We are currently completing interior painting across the residential units.

For a project of this size, consistency matters. Each unit needs clean walls, sharp edges, and careful work around windows, doors, and other finished areas.

The building may soon change Denver’s skyline. Right now, we are focused on getting every interior space ready for what comes next.

Proud to be part of a project that will soon become one of Denver’s newest high-rise residences.

Washington Park regulars, you have probably walked past this fence line a hundred times without giving it a second thought.

That is about to change. We are getting ready to repaint all 42 fence posts and the gazebo here in the park.

Right now, everything still looks fine from a distance. That is actually the best time to catch it. Wait too long on metal fencing and small cracks turn into rust, and rust turns into a much bigger job.

We will be using a heavy-duty coating built for weather and heavy foot traffic, plus long-lasting caulking on every joint. More updates as the work gets underway.

Most people think a patchy white wall means the painter messed up. We think it means they are doing it right.

Before any color goes on, our crew checks the whole wall for hairline cracks, old repairs, and small scratches. Anything that could crack the paint open again down the road. Then we prime and seal every single spot. That is the white patchwork you see in these photos.

Skip that step and you get a wall that looks perfect for a photo, then starts cracking again before winter even hits.

This is what our crew is doing on a commercial job in Aurora right now. It is not a mistake. It is the whole point.

We got to work on a commercial building in downtown Denver, and the client's words made our whole week.

They said they talked to a lot of painting contractors before choosing us. We weren't the fanciest quote. We were actually one of the most affordable.

What sealed it was how our owner and office manager showed up for them. Real answers. Real updates. No runaround.

The job finished on time, stayed on budget, and the building looks sharp.

That's the kind of experience we want every client to walk away with. If your property needs a refresh, request a free quote at https://shakerpainting.com/contact-us/

Some jobs look messier before they look better and this is one of them.

This building's paint had been failing for a while. Peeling, cracking, coming apart in big chunks the second you touched it. So instead of just rolling new paint over the old (which never works, by the way), our crew spent the day pressure washing the entire wall down to bare block.

Look at that ground — that's YEARS of old paint finally coming off. It's loud, it's wet, it's a mess... and it's exactly what needs to happen before anything new goes on.

We'll be back with the after photos soon but wanted to share this part too. The prep work is where the real job happens. Everything after this is just the payoff.

At first glance, this looks like a progress video of our crew painting the upper portion of Hardware Block.

But take another look at what is happening below the lift.

Traffic is still moving. Entrances remain accessible. The work zone is controlled, and the property is continuing with its normal day while our crew works roughly 60 feet above the street.

That did not happen by accident.

The upper cornice is more than 100 years old, with curves and intricate architectural details that cannot be rushed. We are completing it section by section—carefully positioning the lift, preparing and painting each area, and coordinating every move around the activity below.

We did not win this project by trying to submit the lowest price. We won it by showing that we had thought through the entire job, not just the surface receiving paint.

Because a commercial painting project should improve your building without unnecessarily disrupting the people who still need to enter it, work in it, drive past it, or manage it.

When a difficult job looks simple, it usually means the planning is doing its job.

Anyone can submit a number. The real question is whether they understand what that number needs to protect—your building, your tenants, your customers, and the normal flow of the property.

Before any repaint, our crew starts with the work most people never see: scraping away old, failing paint until we reach a clean, solid surface.

Proper preparation is what helps a commercial paint job look better and last longer.

Thinking about refreshing the exterior of your commercial building? 🎨

The right paint color does more than improve curb appeal—it can:

✅ Create a more welcoming first impression
✅ Reflect your brand’s personality
✅ Help your building stand up to Denver’s changing weather

Neutrals offer a timeless, professional look. Bold colors help your business stand out, while earthy tones create a warm, natural feel. For a more energetic and playful appearance, brighter shades can make a strong statement.

Not sure where to begin? Consider your logo and brand colors, the surrounding buildings, and how sunlight affects your property throughout the day.

The finished product and the review that made our week. 😊

Here's a look at the completed project, straight from a recent client review:

"Couldn't be happier with the outcome as well as the experience. Reliable, superb communication. A++"

Big thanks to Ian Price for the kind words, and to our partners at Forest St. Builders for another great collaboration. This is what teamwork looks like.
