I am often asked about my favorite neutral paint color. I use mostly paint and have too many favorites to overwhelm anyone with. 😂 {Helloooo Agreeable Gray, Shoji White, Snowbound, Gossamer Veil, Origami White, and the list goes on!} It’s always helpful to see a color in action. Here are a few from recent projects. ‼️ Remember, so many elements impact how the paint will read, like the amount of natural light ☀️ the color temperature of the lamps 💡 in your fixtures, and even what season it is. Grass outside can reflect on your walls to make them appear more green 🌱 and everything is more blue ❄️ in the winter. It always best to test a paint in different lighting conditions in the space it will actually be used in. 🏡What’s your favorite neutral?

I love how this bathroom 🛁 turned out!! 💗 {Scroll to see the before, with both a 3’ shower stall AND a 5’ tub shower combo all in the same space!} We definitely upgraded the floor plan efficiency by moving the shower to the back wall. And there’s still plenty of storage. The finishes are perfect for this lake retreat that will see plenty of grandkids rinsing off after long days in the water. {Look at that rift white oak finish. 👀}This beauty is ready for the busy lake season! ☀️⛵️🚿

Clocked IN vs. clocked OUT photos. The visual contrast between the two grids is pretty cool to see! When I’m not working on interior design, you can find me at a baseball field, on a trail somewhere, in the water paddling, or hanging out with my favorite boys, including that cute pooch that makes regular appearances here. I take my time off just as seriously as my time on. Before any sporting event or activity while my boys were growing up I always said one thing: “Work hard and have fun!” The same saying hung in our mudroom for years. That is my life’s goal; to have just as much fun as hard work. I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and have plenty of fun in the coming summer months! What does your “clocked out” look like?

Here’s yet another kitchen remodel completed! ✔️ This kitchen went from feeling cramped to expansive, from the den to the dining room. We took down a wall, removed all the weird ceiling soffits, replaced all the flooring, and the patio door, and added lots of custom cabinetry as well as a second island for seating. The light tan cabinets and wood stain keep it warm. The white backsplash brightens it all up, and the contrast of the black hardware and fixtures give it some pop. And there is SO MUCH storage!! Swipe left to see a few before photos.

This basement got a facelift as good as Kris Jenner’s most recent work! 🔨🏠💁🏻‍♀️😉 This space now feels like a continuation of the work these homeowners did on the main level, and a space they will enjoy with fun and games for years to come. Everything but the fireplace is new. And I LOVE how these doors turned out! 🚪Swipe left to see the before photos.

Check out this movement our neighbor at The Mix Picks Decor is participating in. What a great post about shopping locally and how small businesses support their communities. It’s so true!! I love going to small towns for baseball with my boys and seeing the banners that line the field of local businesses supporting their baseball club. That’s just one small example. I’m so proud of you The Mix for being an involved community business! And thank you Copper Pony for starting this movement!

We’ve invited ourselves to join a movement! 🤪

We’ve always loved from afar the aesthetic and feel of and they are in some ways similar to us, but oh so different. They have started a movement to . To showcase the importance and need for supporting small businesses and we said 🙋🏻‍♀️ hi - can we be a cheerleader up here?!

We make up your local communities, employ your neighbors, show support to your local schools & organizations. Supporting small shops is now more important than ever. Your dollar staying local helps so much more than you think! YOU do so much by sharing your love in store, in google reviews, sharing our stories and posts - it is vital for local businesses to stick around. We care more than those big box stores!

We have the best customers around and we want to share in the small business love by supporting this fantastic movement.

The saddest part of my job is walking away from clients when their project is complete. This one no different. I so enjoyed working with this sweet client and I am going to miss visiting with her. This transformation was really fun to watch. As mentioned in the reel yesterday, this was the last space in her home left to remodel. She did a lot of the previous work herself. The kitchen was more than she wanted to tackle alone, but she painted the walls and trim this go round. And she has fabulous taste! When I take pictures, I always bring decor to stage with. When I showed up to hers, I only took three things from my stash. The rest was all hers! This space felt small and dated and lacked good storage before. With a few layout changes, and a soft, neutral color palette, we made it functional and feel so much bigger and brighter. I’m so excited for her to enjoy this space. Maybe she’ll have me over for coffee sometimes…😉
