Thinking about remodeling your kitchen but wondering how long it actually takes? 🤔
Here’s a realistic breakdown of a kitchen remodel timeline so you know what to expect:
🔹 Planning & Design (1–6 weeks)
This is where everything starts—layout, cabinets, finishes, and budget. The more decisions made upfront, the smoother everything goes.
🔹 Material Ordering (1–8 weeks)
Cabinets, countertops, and appliances can take time. We plan projects around arrival dates to avoid delays.
🔹 Demo (2–5 days)
Out with the old! This is the fast (and messy) part.
🔹 Rough-In Work (1–2 weeks)
Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC adjustments happen behind the walls.
🔹 Drywall, Flooring & Prep (1–2 weeks)
Now it starts to feel like a kitchen again.
🔹 Cabinets & Countertops (1–3 weeks)
The exciting stage where everything comes together.
🔹 Finishing Touches (1–2 weeks)
Backsplash, lighting, appliances, and final details.
👉 Total Time: Typically 6–12 weeks once construction begins
💡 The biggest delays?
Not making decisions early and waiting on materials.
At AMC Homes, we focus on planning upfront so your project runs smooth, stays on schedule, and avoids surprises.
