The votes are in, and one of our employee-owners' favorite competitions has wrapped up for another year.

Congratulations to this year's Chili Cook-Off winners! In Dubuque, Lauren Ray earned the championship title, with Alex Kerr taking second and Hannah Bakey finishing third. In Davenport, Mike McNeil claimed the top spot.

What a great day for the East Dubuque community! This past weekend, Origin Design was honored to participate in the opening ceremony and bell ringing for the new East Dubuque Emergency Services Building. Designed to support the critical work of local emergency responders, this facility reflects the community's commitment to safety and service.

Origin was proud to provide architectural, structural, and civil engineering services for this important project, helping bring a facility to life that will serve the community for years to come.

Congratulations to the City of East Dubuque and all of the partners involved in making this project a reality. We're grateful to have been part of such a meaningful community investment.

This year, our Employee Relations Committee hosted monthly potlucks where employees could learn more about local nonprofits serving the Dubuque area. Together, we supported Tri-State Women Warriors, Centrally Rooted, Fountain Of Youth Program, and The Red Basket Project of Dubuque.

Thanks to the generosity of our team, we raised $1,600 to support these incredible organizations and the important work they do in our community.

Big things are happening in Guttenberg!

Origin's Land Survey team is proud to be part of this $40 million restoration project, providing land surveying services that support construction efforts to restore disappearing islands and enhance critical wildlife habitat. It's rewarding to contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on the river, the environment, and the communities it serves.

What makes Origin Design special? The people.

Last Thursday, we brought together nearly our entire team for our 8th Annual Employee Owner Meeting. From learning about industry trends and ESOP ownership to hearing from guest speaker Kristin Bock of Body Language Blueprints, the day was filled with great conversations, valuable insights, and a little friendly competition.

More than anything, it was a chance to connect with coworkers, share ideas, and celebrate the employee-owners who make Origin Design a success.
