Travis Varner said don't make the mistake of pruning your tree too much at the bottom because it will redistribute the weight up top and make it more liable to fall on your home.

Heavy side wall reduction prune of post oak. Clients are on the fence about removal as it leans slightly toward their neighbors, who are good friends. We bought the tree another 2 years before a revisit, it will likely be removed on that visit. It has had several large limbs taken off back to the trunk. The tree has been responding well and is sealing over those big wounds. Maybe in 2 years they will be open to pruning again vs removal.
