Raw basement to finished living space.
Blanket insulation on the foundation walls, kitchenette, full bath, LVP throughout, joists painted black so the mechanicals disappear. This is what an empty basement is supposed to become.

Two projects. Master bath gutted. Kitchen gutted. Stripped to the studs, rebuilding it right.

Every now and then we tear into a shower and find this.
Not what you want to see when you’re already mid-demo. The tile still looks okay, but once you start pulling at the curb the whole bottom just turns to black mush.
Years of water getting past a failed curb or membrane will do that. By the time you notice anything on the surface, the framing underneath is already gone.
We dig it all out, rebuild it right, and waterproof it properly so it doesn’t happen again. Messy work. Necessary work. We don’t leave this kind of stuff behind.
