An organized entry way/mud room can make a difference.
Here is the latest one, laid our for a growing family. A nice combination of open and closed storage, with a pickled white oak bench to match the new stair tread, and nickel gap wall treatments in the two rooms.

Digging has begun on the Frost Hill addition!
Foggy day, but at least it isn't raining

Another quick, little (literally) kitchen project at a seaside cottage in Ogunquit.
Making the best use of a small space can be tricky sometimes, but this one turned out perfect for it's home.
From the bright, ocean themed color, the light quartz countertops to the floating shelves...

Well, another kitchen in the books!
This kitchen was a nice transformation from its original layout, and also has the addition of a wet bar/coffee station and a generous pantry and coat closet.
In a shade of gray/blue, it pairs nicely with the white toned quartz countertops. With some additional features as our standard double trash pullouts, magic corner features for the blind corner and also a set of angled drawers to optimize storage adjacent to the stove area.

Molly and Moxie, the shop dogs, wanted to tell you about the latest project.
Up in Kennebunkport, where we have previously completed a full kitchen remodel, staircase overhaul, floor refinish and more (as well as more to come)... the latest is an amazing front porch redeck (and framing rework).
What started as a session of leveling older settled posts, then transformed into removal of the original decking, addressing many framing issues on the original build and a total redeck with a exotic hardwood! All picture framed, screwed, plugged and sanded.
Quite the difference. Again... awesome customers, awesome tradesmen to work with and a very nice outcome!

Once in a while it is nice to switch gears from our usual cabinet shop time.
This was a large barn up in Buxton, ME that was in need of an equally large sliding door. (The previous rickety door had blown off)
So with enough rough sawn material we set off north and in the end had a solid 12 foot tall by 16 foot wide door, mounted on the correct barn door hardware, which despite the very heavy weight, enabled it to slide open woth relative ease.
Thank you NorthStar Contracting Services for the referral.

The Quincy, MA kitchen is coming along nicely. Some awesome choices were made in finishes and it is starting to show in the details.
The travel is worth it!

The Brave Boat Harbor kitchen in York is complete.
We are very pleased with the outcome. A nice combination of a shaker style inset door/drawer detail with the usual high end hardware, and a striking quartzite countertop and full height backsplash. Also a generous pass thru opening connects the living room and kitchen opening up the space and adding a ton of natural light.
Once again, thank you to all of the subcontractors whom make it all come togethe. After the 100% custom cabinets are built in our shop; the rest of the team steps in to do their part!

Having grown up in York, it is always a pleasure to work with local establishments.
We were commissioned to produce a custom b**r tap handle for The Lobster in the Rough.
Having worked at their sister restaurant (The Lobster Barn, which is no longer in existence) as a teen this was a fun one.
"The Rough", is a summertime hotapot in York and they partnered with Sebago Brewing Co. To produce a Rough branded pilsner.
The handle is cnc carved from solid mahogany with accent staining and epoxy branding.
Stop by to see the handle and have a taste!

A few relatively quick, but interesting projects just wrapped up.
First; a floating, handicapped accessible vanity with stone top built for JT Property Services to help with their bathroom remodel at the York Harbor Reading Room.

And second; we were asked to duplicate the original glass Taffy displays and build matching cabinetry to extend the Taffy counter for the historic Goldenrod Candy store and restaurant located in York Beach.
