YES we install home hearth appliances . Pictured are various appliances out of hundreds we have installed over the years. Many of these were part of larger stone / brick projects that we performed. Some are installed for ambiance, some to heat a home. Everyone has their particular taste . Our job is to make it reality within the manufacturer directions and local building codes.

A very large custom copper shroud was installed by our team today . Brad / Greg/ Tom and Steve also installed fireplace liners , dampers and formed new smokechambers at this residence. Along with venting for a condensing gas boiler and flue Sentinel dampers for use with a couple gas fireplaces . Great teamwork and grit to get this one done !

Many people ask how we control dust and the particles we aggravate when sweeping a fireplace or vent . Well folks here you have a brand new Rovac system made by AW Perkins Co. Three motors (can be run together or alone) creates different CFMs of “pull”. Three filter systems inside keep all the nasty particles inside and this includes a micro particle filter bag over all the filters inside the stainless steel drum. All of our crews carry one. We use these for sweeps only … we never use them for heavy debris (we have other types of vacuums for that). This is a large investment as they are thousands of dollars to aquire but do the job perfectly . The owner has used this type of system for almost 30 years now

We receive a starteling amount of calls from potential clients with issues related to the “unsavory chimney sweeps “ out there. Scammers are all over the nation now posing and taking money from way too many people that do NOT research the contractors. Permits are required for most of the work we perform . To apply for a permit a contractor must have a Construction Supervisors License and the company a Home Improvement Contractor registration number with the state of MA. If they cannot provide those that’s the first red flag.

Called out to a boiler/ vent fire fix at Camp Edwards on Cape Cod. I am amazed the vent held the fire! It was caused by soot buildup at the collar as it was not serviced since install. Unfortunately it was at the base fire station . We will be back with new vent pipe working alongside the boiler replacement company. In our industry we never know what we will go to or see when we get there for sure. Some fun vehicles to see in base also 😎.

Privileged to have had the inventor, Tom M, as well as ‘s Ron V and Jon W at our shop this AM for product introduction and training . This line of products will be replacing our old line of the same. Not too long ago (less than 100 years ) this was the coal heated water system and tank at our clients home. Fire up the coal stove and the huge tank stores the water . This system is pretty easy to understand compared to our modern day systems for sure !
