Bluegill Pottery I'm Vicki Gill, aka Bluegill Pottery! Making pottery has been a way of life for me since 1995.

This is a working studio and gallery, and I do everything from making the work and photographing it, to running errands, so it's best to call ahead to set up an appointment if you would like to come by!

Part of the blue glaze mixing process. I use the same base glaze and add Mason stains in different percentages to the base. Kind of a guessing game and hard to predict before firing in the kiln. It’s the glaze lottery ticket theory- you have to purchase a ticket before you can win the prize.

Visiting family. They have so many pieces that I have made over the years. This teapot set sits in front of a watercolor my mom painted. The maple leaf tray was an early design that I did for many years. The mug was one that I keep thinking I would like to make again. Much inspiration.
