I enjoy going into our fabrication facility on a Saturday for a few hours to get set up (making lists) and preparing for the coming week. Also gives me a chance to make solo inspections and Quality Control without the distractions and hubbub of the manufacturing process and of course the phone
Walking through the shop floor earlier today I snapped this picture..
seems like a simple photo but when i looked at later on, it actually speaks volumes..
Shows our cabinet joinery with crisp, clean milling, highlighting our investment in automated technology and high end tooling
Shows domestically manufactured high quality sheet goods that is calibrated to exactly 19mm for precision milling for tight joints during assembly
Shows coordinating with other trades by preparing the cabinet tops with a pocket for countertop adhesive to achieve the highest level of integration of thier product and craft to ours
Shows notches for shadowline integrated pulls - getting more popular these days
Shows clean Edgebanding with zero glue line right off the ba**er
As i was walking back to the office i was thinking.. I truly love this place and this “job”
My daughter is only 7 years old but i can only hope that she finds peace in her life at 57 like i can spending a few hours at “work” on a Saturday
