Some people might see the first photo and gasp at the fact that I painted over natural oak. 😅 And I totally get it!

But this handrail had actually been previously painted black, and unfortunately, it wasn't done properly. So rather than simply painting over it again, I stripped it all the way down to the bare wood and started the refinishing process from scratch.

Proper prep, wood-bonding primer, and a fresh finish in Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane - Tricorn Black brought this handrail back to life. 🖤✨

Finally wrapped this one up today!

A lot of hours went into this project, from smoothing out the textured ceiling to filling nail holes on trim, seeing the finished result makes it all worth it. Clean walls, sharp lines, and a fresh new look for this bedroom.

Color of choice: Accessible Beige by Sherwin-Williams

A couple days of work condensed into a few seconds.

This client wanted a flat, smooth ceiling instead of the existing texture. After sanding, skim coating, and a lot of dust, we're getting close to the finished product.

The prep work isn't glamorous, but it's what makes the final paint job look great.
