Day 1 is in the books on this turret window refurb. Beautiful old house being restored in Covington. The craftsmanship in these old homes is really unmatched in this modern cookie cutter world. More to come!

This weeks adventures. Sign refurbish for a local Independence hairdresser, Rapunzels. Phone number was outdated and the support cables had rusted and failed. She’s not ready to pull the trigger on a new sign so I took down the existing sign, buffed out the colors a bit, cut off the old number and replaced the cables.
2nd job was plaster repairs for some friends in Ft Thomas. Same house I did some window refurbishing back in the fall. Awesome old house!

Installed 4 chandelier medallions today in the same house we’re gonna be doing the custom ceiling trim here in a couple of weeks. There’s one more piece of the puzzle to finish out at the top of the rod yet. Love the more finished vibe these added!

Took a little road trip to Metamora today to install an attic ladder for some friends in their shop. These Louisville insulated attic ladders are really nice compared to the cheaper wooden ones. Install is pretty straightforward, unless the building was built in the late 1800’s. Just adds a little challenge!

Yeah, we do that! 😀 Just proves it never hurts to ask! Helped a client install a “cat wall” in his condo. 12’ tall walls added to this interesting project!

Wrapped up a custom cabinet build, and dishwasher install today. Customer reconfigured his kitchen and relocated the refrigerator, which freed up space to add the dishwasher. He didn’t want to do all new counter tops so he chose to go with butcher block where we extended the space. Built a custom maple cabinet to match the existing cabinets. The real challenge was matching the existing countertop profile and stain from the 1970’s! Turned out great!

Little before and after on that commercial job in Taylor Mill I wrapped up recently. New awning went up (third party), new window trim, flashed and trimmed the stone transition, and some paint touch up. Awesome transformation!

Couple of little upgrades in a beautiful old house in Covington this afternoon. Love this light in this particular space! More lighting upgrades next week, stay tuned!

Quick LVP install this morning. Client had one bedroom that was still carpet and wanted to tie into the existing floor.

Some before and after shots of a small commercial job going on in Taylor Mill. The old large awning is being replaced with a smaller one and the window trim had started to rot and fall off. Swapped the trim to pvc and touched up the paint where the old awning was, painted the new trim and she’s looking good! Waiting on the awning and then finish out the trim at the bottom of the facade!
