Help us welcome Sara Magee to the team!
Originally from Oxford, Mississippi, Sara is a senior at Mississippi Christian University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and graduating in May 2027. She is passionate about sustainable, accessible, and inclusive design, with a strong interest in commercial and hospitality spaces.
Outside of design, Sara enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, and trying new recipes. We’re excited to have her on the team and look forward to all she will contribute!

CCD Architects was honored to participate in the recent groundbreaking ceremony kicking off construction of Gateway’s Rescue Mission’s New Life Center. Joined by the dedicated Gateway staff, program residents, the Mayor of Jackson and other dignitaries, the event marked the beginning of the phased renovation of Gateway’s Campus on Gallatin Street in Jackson. Members of CCD’s Design Team greeted and explained the building design to interested patrons and donors alike. It was a great opportunity to meet so many wonderful people who care about this project and Gateway’s continuing goal to deliver food, shelter, counseling and discipleship to the men in the Jackson area.

It was a pleasure speaking to the Rotary Club of Carthage, MS about the exciting progress of the new Workforce Development Center coming to Leake County.

This project has been a true collaborative effort, and we're grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Leake County, Mississippi , the Leake County Development Association - MS , East Central Community College , and Omni Architects to help bring this vision to life.

We look forward to seeing construction begin and this important investment in workforce training become a reality for the community in the near future!

Meet Drew Peeples, a Madison, Mississippi native and graduate of Madison Central High School currently pursuing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Mississippi State University, expected in 2028. Drew’s passion for architecture began at a young age through building with Legos and creating anything he could design and construct.

Looking ahead, he plans to continue his education in sustainable bioproducts with a focus on wood design, with the goal of incorporating wood detailing into projects where it is not traditionally used.

Outside of school, Drew enjoys spending time in Hattiesburg with his girlfriend, playing golf with his dad and uncle, and relaxing with video games.

Congratulations to Belhaven Softball on an outstanding season and for earning the opportunity to host both a Regional and Super Regional this year! Hosting postseason play is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the hard work of the student-athletes, coaches, and supporters who make the program so successful.

We would like to gather together here in Jackson to virtually attend the memorial service for Bob Canizaro. We have reserved the Community Room at the Mississippi Museum of Art on Friday, May 29 at 2:00 PM Central Time to view the Zoom service. If you can’t join us, the Zoom link is in the obituary below.
Bob’s influence is personal and lasting. Those who knew him remember not just his talent, but his generosity, steady leadership, and the care he brought to his work and to people. His example continues to shape how we live and how we design, collaborate, and serve our community.
We are grateful for his legacy and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.

We enjoyed working with UMMC to design this long needed facility. It's a rewarding experience to improve the care of those who need help.

UMMC has opened a dedicated psychiatric emergency services unit within the adult emergency department, creating a safer space and a more coordinated approach for patients in crisis.
