This exterior material palette draws from the quiet poetry of the site. Lichen covered bark and the graceful presence of herons paired with weathered wood siding and soft white metals creates a dialogue between architecture and landscape, where materials echo what already belongs.

At Vera Iconica, we design in conversation with the landscape; listening first, building second.

Our Principal Architect was invited by on an awe-inspiring trip to Venice, Italy where he was made an official Cini Ambassador. The Fondazione Giorgio Cini, established by Vittorio Cini on 20 April 1951, promotes the dialogue between different cultures and the humanistic and scientific research through a multidisciplinary approach.

Dreaming of sun-soaked days and desert air.

This warm-weather retreat is an ode to materiality; where textured plaster catches shifting light, rammed earth rises from the ground, and vibrant nature softens every edge. Palo verde structures frame moments of shade and stillness, blurring the boundary between shelter and landscape.

A material palette rooted in discovery.

Rustic wood, natural stone, and textures that invite touch. Inspiration drawn from simple moments like hands shaping dough guiding the design to warm materials that feel lived-in and real.

From these tactile beginnings, the kitchen takes form.

We were lucky enough to send some of our team members to the Plato Cabinets factory in Minnesota and got a firsthand look at craftsmanship in action!

From carefully selected materials to precise joinery, every cabinet is a work of true artistry. Seeing the process up close reminded us that thoughtful design doesn’t just happen in the studio where it is built. It becomes, piece by piece, hand by skilled hand.

This log home renovation in the Jackson Hole area is inspired by the rhythm of the peaks that surround it, the texture of the timberline, and the quiet strength of the Teton Mountain Range. Every angle and material was carefully chosen to live in harmony with its surroundings.

Long before it rises from the ground, every project begins with a line.

Hand sketching allows us to slow down, to think through proportion, light, and landscape in their purest form. It’s where ideas breathe, where concepts take shape, and where architecture first finds its voice.

“The extension of the art of living is the art of seating” -Charlotte Perriand

Seating moments throughout our Jackson Hole office reflect how daily rituals of work, pause, and gathering shape the way our space is experienced. Creating time for conscious breath allows our team members and guests alike to LIVE WELL.
