FLOWERING SHRUBS – PLANT NOW FOR A BEAUTIFUL SPRING!
Fall is the perfect time to plant flowering shrubs! Cooler air temperatures and still-warm soil create ideal conditions for establishing strong, healthy roots before spring arrives. Here’s why planting now is a great idea:
• Stronger roots: Warm soil encourages root development before winter.
• Less transplant stress: Cooler temperatures help reduce moisture loss from leaves.
• Less watering: Seasonal rainfall and milder weather can mean less frequent watering, depending on conditions.
• Fewer pests: Decreased insect activity can mean less feeding damage to your new plants.
• Winter interest: Many shrubs add beautiful color, texture, and structure to your landscape even in the colder months. Consider Viburnum, Abelia, Arborvitae, and Boxwood for year-round beauty and landscape interest. Even a dried Hydrangea flower adds spectacular interest to a winter garden!
Stop by and peruse our fantastic selection of Proven Winners® ColorChoice® flowering shrubs, ready and waiting to add beauty to your landscape!

AMARYLLIS — The Perfect Holiday Gift - ARE HERE!!

Looking for the perfect hostess gift, a thoughtful gift for a teacher, a little something for your awesome neighbor, or simply a beautiful way to brighten your own home for the holidays? Think AMARYLLIS!

We have a gorgeous selection of both Peruvian and Dutch Amaryllis bulbs, specially vernalized (preconditioned) to bloom during the holiday season.

Peruvian Amaryllis — From the Southern Hemisphere, these beauties typically bloom within 45–50 days of indoor planting.

Dutch Amaryllis — Coming from a colder climate, these bulbs generally bloom in about 50–90 days after planting indoors.

BIGGER BULBS mean more glorious blooms! When shopping for Amaryllis, be sure to pay attention to bulb size. Larger bulbs typically produce more flower stalks and spectacular blooms. We bring in the largest commercially available Amaryllis bulbs, with every bulb measuring at least 36 cm in circumference — about the size of a baseball!

Give a gift that keeps on growing and brings beauty, color, and holiday cheer to any home. And when the blooms are spent (about February/March), plant outside for years of enjoyment! Stop by and find your favorite!

See you soon!

10/09/2026

After serious consideration and an abundance of caution, we have decided NOT to be open tomorrow, October 10, due to the impending weather. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will see you at our next sale! October 30-31 and November 6-7.

Hurricane Aisias might be coming! 🌪️ We're keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, because who doesn't love a good excuse to stay dry? If it's just a drizzle, we'll be open on Saturday under the dock, but if it's a full-on rain and wind fest, we'll be looking at plant catalogs at home. Stay tuned for updates here on FB, and don't forget to bring your umbrella... or not. 😉
