Here's another example of opting for the "cheaper" bid. The contractor didn't install the step flashing correctly, because he obviously didn't have enough material and spaced each piece at least 3 inches apart and neglected to put ice and water shield up the exterior wood of the chimney.
People, don't do cheap....and if you do you may want to plant yourself on the roof top and watch the contractor like a hawk.
