Yuck! Some of these machines are filthy, dirty, scummy and just need a good soaking, degreasing, and cleaning. 🧼 This is just one example.
That’s when I get busy. Certain parts need to be replaced on all these mixers and I go over it thoroughly.
They have worked for 55 years, 75 years, and even 100+ years but they have many, many more years to make memories and 😎 smiles. When I close these mixers back up they are ready to go. 
🇺🇸 American made, and made strong!!!

I asked my youngest grandson if he wanted a shake. He said 😃“uuh-huuuh”! What kind of shake would you like? I asked. He wanted a chocolate banana milkshake.
He didn’t walk, nor watch where he was going. He didn’t pass go, nor collect $200. He ran to the kitchen and got himself a cup, a lid, and a straw, then climbed up to watch me make his shake.
He loves his Papa. 💙🩵

When the temperature heats up, there’s nothing like a milkshake to cool you down, while also maybe giving you a taste of nostalgia.

WHY DO I DO IT?

#4 - I’m retired and I can make my own hours. 😎😉
#3 - These mixers were built to last for generations. They aren’t meant for the landfills. They’re not disposable mixers.
#2 - I put these antique and vintage mixers in the best possible shape, because 80% of those mixers that I have worked on have found a new home. Adults, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren continue the tradition of making fond memories.
#1 - I honestly enjoy the process. Transforming these 50 to 100+ year old mixers, and watching others enjoy building delicious traditions of their own.

I STARTED OVER 5 YRS AGO.

Since I have worked on hundreds of Malt & Milkshake Mixers, I frequently get questions about how I got started restoring these Hamilton Beach mixers and keeping them out of the landfills. FRIDAY FEATURE: MODEL 12

I currently don’t have a model 12, but it is a unique mixer to show you. It came from the 1920’s era and has a unique look.

This model 12 is the original color. It has not been re-porcelained, nor painted. As shown, it was introduced in a darker green than the iconic Jadeite Green. The metal label on the front was in great condition which was in a similar shape as a Fireman or Police Officers badge. It had a strong motor and was very sharp looking!

This is the Hamilton Beach model 12. If you have one of these, you are among the lucky select few. Hamilton Beach was just getting into a heavier duty mixer market in the early 1920s. This model is considered to be a medium duty.
After reconditioning this machine, I was really surprised at how much power it has. I was impressed! The metal shield on the face of the head looks very classy, and the model 12 itself is a classic.
