Happy Spring! Happy April!! Today (Saturday April 4th) at open studios, located at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA from 12-5 I have cleared all traces of Winter away. Wow! The show is up at the Beach Street Gallery in Manchester by-the-sea, MA! You are all invited to the opening reception April 10th from 5-8 pm. This Croton Petra is your Painting of the Day! I have a whole series of plant paintings created from the drawings I made to keep me awake during my brief career as a para (assistant teacher) between art teaching jobs. Sadly, most of the time the ONLY thing i found inspiring in those classrooms were the teachers’ plants. Here is one. The original painting is 16” x 20”and $1300.00.
