Plumbing is tied back in, backfill is underway, and the crew is making sure everything gets supported the right way with clean, compacted fill.

Stone, filter cloth, and clean sand are going in to help this property shed water properly, protect the new drainage lines, and give the soil a much better path to percolate instead of holding water around the home. 💧🏡

Breaking ground on another hydrostatic pressure relief system. 💧🏠

Full crew is on site today getting started with utility locating, prep work, layout, and excavation. 🚧 This type of system is designed to relieve water pressure around the foundation, move water away from the home, and help prevent basement flooding, seepage, and long-term foundation issues.

Water problems usually do not fix themselves. ⚠️ If you’re seeing standing water, wet basement walls, sump pump issues, or drainage problems around your home, it may be time to address the source before it turns into a larger repair.

Storm cleanup handled fast. 🌲💪

A past customer reached out needing a downed tree cleaned up before Memorial Day weekend, so we squeezed them in on a Saturday and got it taken care of.

This is what customer service should look like: quick response, the right equipment, and a crew that knows how to work safely and efficiently around yards, structures, and tight access areas. Big shoutout to Brent for the skilled heavy equipment operation on this one. Clean, controlled, and professional. 👊🚜

What looked like a simple septic backup turned into uncovering major underground drainage issues.

Our crew in Arcadia, Michigan performed a full septic system investigation by tracing the existing system, exposing the outlet line, uncovering an older dry well setup, and identifying the true failure point causing the backup.

Septic backup problems are never something you want to ignore — and they’re definitely not something to guess at.

🔥 Another fence project wrapped up! 🐾🏡

We removed the old white picket fence and installed a clean new fence layout, going from a 6’ pressure-treated dog-eared wood fence and transitioning into a sharp 4’ black metal fence for the rest of the run. ⚒️⚫

The details matter on a job like this:

✅ Tight, clean transition at the house
✅ Smooth transition between the wood fence and black metal fence
✅ Puppy guard mesh installed to help keep the pets safe and secure 🐶
✅ Imported topsoil brought in, raked, leveled, and seeded 🌱
✅ Low spots in the yard touched up so the project looks right after we walk away

We don’t just want the homeowner happy when we leave — we want to be proud of the finished product too. Clean work, sharp details, and a finished yard that looks like we were never there. 💪🏡

Here’s a look at a recent grading project completed by GWJ Excavating & Site Prep in Onekama.

Our crew had the excavator and track loader on site to rough grade the perimeter of the home, establish positive drainage away from the foundation, and cleanly grade all disturbed areas back out for a smooth finished look.

Good grading isn’t just about appearance, it’s about protecting the investment long-term and making sure water moves where it should.
