🏗️ CHEAPER DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN BETTER!
Another project completed by Davis Family Construction! 💪🏼
What started as a cracked and deteriorating concrete floor turned into a complete tear-out and replacement.
During demolition, we discovered that the original concrete had been poured directly onto dirt, with some areas not even reaching 4 inches in thickness.
This is exactly why who you hire matters.
The lowest bid might save you money upfront, but if corners are cut during preparation or installation, those savings can disappear quickly. In some cases, you end up paying for the same project twice.
For this project, we went back to the basics:
✅ Removed and hauled away the existing concrete
✅ Addressed the underlying base conditions
✅ Installed and compacted a proper stone base
✅ Installed a v***r barrier and reinforcement
✅ Poured and hand-finished a new concrete floor
The work underneath the concrete is just as important as the concrete you see on top.
