My quiet exit strategy just passed its first inspection. 👀🏡

And it all started with a knock on my door at 9 AM.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why is the Board of Health showing up at your house first thing in the morning?

Thankfully, it was expected. I had my residential kitchen inspection scheduled — one more step toward turning my plans into something real.

And guess what? I PASSED! 🎉

That means I’m one step closer to being able to sell food to the public, made right here in my own kitchen.

But I’m not rushing into it just yet.

I’m planning to officially start my license in January 2027. Why pay for two years of licensing when there are only a couple of months left in this one? When you’re trying to climb out of debt, every dollar matters. This isn’t about moving fast just to say I started. It’s about making smart moves that actually get me closer to my goal.

And that brings me to the bigger picture…

I’m quietly building my way out.

My original goal was to have my mortgage paid off by 2030. But after sitting down with the actual numbers, I had to get honest with myself. That timeline was more aggressive than I could realistically manage.

So, I adjusted the goal to 2032.

And honestly? Even that is going to take some serious hustling.

That’s where the farm, the side hustles, the creative ideas, and all the little income streams come in. I’m figuring out how to turn the things I love into income while building a life that looks a little less like the corporate grind and a little more like the life I actually want.

I had hoped to have my entire strategy figured out by my birthday. But maybe the birthday that really matters is the one in 2032 — when I can look back and see just how far all these little steps have taken me.

I don’t have every answer yet. I don’t have the whole plan perfectly mapped out. But I’m taking action, making adjustments, and figuring it out as I go.

Because sometimes, the biggest changes don’t happen overnight. They happen quietly, behind the scenes, one decision at a time.

One inspection. One side hustle. One dollar at a time.

This is just the beginning. 🌱

Hello, I’m Tiffany! 👋

I’m 41 this year, and if there was ever a time to have a midlife crisis, I think this would be the year! 😅

I’m a mom of three — two teenagers (17 ,15) and a little one (18-months-old). Unfortunately this year, my life changed in a way I never could have imagined.

On an ordinary Tuesday evening, my mom unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. My mom was my person, my cheerleader, my hero, and my number one supporter. ❤️

They say there’s the person you were before losing someone you love and the person you become after. I never truly understood that until now. Your life changes completely, and you’re forced to accept a new reality without that person. Even when you don’t want to accept it, life keeps moving, and somehow, you have to learn to move with it.

Thankfully, I was able to hit the pause button for a few months to give myself time to grieve, process everything, and begin figuring out what life looks like now.

Now my focus is shifting toward the future. I want to be the best mom I can be to my three children, but I also want to take a closer look at my own life and ask myself some important questions.

What do I really want out of life? What truly matters to me? What will make me feel fulfilled?

I think sometimes we get so caught up in the day-to-day routine that we forget to stop and ask ourselves whether the life we’re living is actually the life we want.

So, here I am — at 41, navigating grief, motherhood, and a whole lot of uncertainty, while trying to figure out what comes next. Maybe it’s a midlife crisis. Maybe it’s a wake-up call. Or maybe it’s finally time to start chasing some dreams of my own. ✨

Grief changes throughout our lives. No matter how deeply we grieve in the immediate aftermath of losing someone close to us, that grief finds its way back during life’s biggest milestones. Grief changes, and so do we.

My grief has changed me in a way I can no longer ignore: I’m learning to say no to a life that no longer feels right for me.

I don’t want to spend my days chasing corporate demands, feeling like I’m never doing enough, or being available around the clock. I want a job that allows me to truly disconnect when the workday ends. I want to feel fulfilled, not constantly drained. Most importantly, I want to be present for my little one while she’s still little. I don’t want to miss out on her life because I’m so consumed by work.

I know my job has provided stability and carried me through many years, but I’m realizing that what once worked for me may no longer fit the life I want. I’m craving something that feels more meaningful and leaves room for the things that matter most.

But when you’ve spent 26 years in one place, how do you walk away? How do you make a big change without putting your family’s stability at risk? How do you know you’re making the right choice for everyone you love?

Those are the questions that keep running through my mind—not just what do I want my life to look like? but how do I find the courage to make it happen?

Maybe grief doesn’t just change how we see the world. Maybe it changes what matters most and what we’re willing to keep putting off.

And maybe it’s time I started listening.
