Joaquín Fernández is an international architect with unmatched expertise in everything from luxury homes and hotels, to interiors and furnishings. Joaquin studied at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain. He completed his studies in Architecture in 2003, specializing in ecological and bioclimatic systems and projects. In 2016, he obtained the international recognition o

f the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, becoming part of the American Architects with maximum knowledge in his field. He has been professor at the School of Design of Barcelona Llotja, giving classes in Interior Design and Direction of Interior Design Projects. In his professional career, he stands out for collaborating with important law offices in Barcelona, creating expert reports on pathologies of buildings. A residential addition should begin with four relationships: how circulation connects old and new, what the existing structure can support, how shade and drainage respond to Miami's climate, and whether the completed house still reads as one coherent whole.
