KIDS IN THE FLOWERS | CLIENT APPRECIATION NIGHT 🌸

I’ve been wanting to do something FUN as a little thank you to the families who have supported Little Bear Photography this year… and this is it! 🤍

On September 12th, I’m taking over the beautiful flowers at Little Sioux Stems for an evening just for the KIDS!

And the best part?

🌼 If your child has had a paid session with Little Bear Photography anytime in 2026, their session is completely FREE!

Haven’t had a session with me this year? You can still join us for $50 per child — CASH ONLY.

🌸 HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

These are going to be QUICK + FUN little sessions!

✨ Approximately 5 minutes per child
✨ 10 edited images included
✨ No assigned appointment times
✨ First come, first served that evening
✨ Your kiddo can pick their favorite spot in the flowers
✨ Styling available upon request
✨ FREE for 2026 LBP clients
✨ $50/kid for everyone else — cash only

I DO need everyone to sign up ahead of time, even though there won't be scheduled time slots. This gives me an idea of how many kiddos to expect and allows me to cap the list if necessary. I want this to stay FUN and be a positive experience for everyone! 🤍

WHAT SHOULD THEY WEAR?

Think simple + THEM.

Their favorite outfit. Jeans and a T-shirt. Overalls. A simple dress. Boots. Something they feel comfortable in and that lets their personality shine.

I’ll also have a limited selection of overalls for boys and dresses or overalls for girls available if you'd like some help styling! Just let me know when you sign up, so I can plan ahead.

Please arrive early enough to have your child completely dressed and ready to go, and make sure they have shoes, sandals or boots for walking through the field.

And then? We have FUN. 🌼

No pressure for perfect posing.
No expecting a five-year-old to stand still for 20 minutes. 😂
No forcing smiles.

Give me five minutes to be silly with them, let them explore a little, and capture some genuine smiles, laughs and personality.

Due to all the storms the last few days, the garden is soaked making the walkways slippery and we have a little clean up to do so we will be closing for the day now.

Hackers are awful! They got my phone and my computer. They make me hate technology and a lot of the way of the world right now. Then you have a friend from high school see your post, reach out, offer her husband to help. He literally offered to drive here to help me. Knowing fully his job is much more important than mine….a much higher pay grade, yet here he is, offering to drive about an hour out of his way to help me out. I assured I would go to him. I dropped everything, rounded up my stuff and went there. He was SO incredibly kind and professional…and lent me a laptop to try to start changing my passwords. He had meetings, other things to do, especially on a Friday afternoon/night, yet here he was, helping me. I was so upset about one more bad thing happening, one more thing to set me back financially, delay me getting other things done, and emotionally draining. When I went to pick up, I tried to give him money and he refused. He and my friend had no idea how much any of their help meant to me, and not accepting money just about brought me to tears. I hope I get the opportunity to help their family in some way in the future. At the end of the day, im so thankful and grateful to be from a small town. From where I'm standing, no day can ever be that bad. Im surrounded by such great, kind, and selfless people. ❤️

Some sessions are about more than just taking photos—they’re about capturing strength, love, and the moments that matter most. 🎗️🤍

This sweet girl is nothing short of a fighter. Through more pokes than any child should have to endure, hospital stays, appointments, and some incredibly hard days, she has never lost the s***k that makes her ,her. She continues to smile, stay positive, and face each new challenge with a strength far beyond her years.

Childhood cancer has impacted this family in ways most of us could never fully understand, but through it all, their love, resilience, and determination shine so brightly. And this little fighter? She refuses to let the hard days steal her spirit.

I am incredibly grateful to this family for trusting me to capture these special moments and preserve a little piece of their story. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of photographing your beautiful family and for being willing to brave the completely unpredictable Iowa weather with me to make it happen! 🤍

Here’s to this brave girl, her contagious s***k, and a family that continues to stand beside her through it all. 🎗️💛

🌅 Soaking up the last bit of summer.

This community never fails to amaze me. I took a video at the Ritz today of all the people flooding in to support the vendors that came and when I switched back to my phone I lost them. It was such an eye opening moment for me. The fact that Taylor was so supportive of us all, opening early, letting us take up her space. Everyone should support businesses with owners like that! This week was pretty defeating for us but you all showing up for everyone made me remember why I love doing what I do. ❤️

🌸 That being said, we have a crazy amount of beautiful flowers out in the garden just waiting for you to come pick them, hang out with a friend in the lounge area, and enjoy a relaxing day on the farm! 🦋

Taylor at The Ritz is so incredibly kind, opening up her resteraunt to all of us Farmers Market in the Park vendors! We are open now, upstairs and there may be vendors downstairs also! We will be here until 1pm, other vendors may be longer but I have to get back to the farm as we are open there 2-5pm and have people expecting us there too.
