We completed this ash removal for St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. Their tree was significantly infected with Emerald Ash Borer, which made it a good candidate for removal.
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive beetle that targets ash trees to feed on. The beetle’s destructive feeding hinders the tree’s flow of water and nutrients, eventually leading to the death of the tree.
EAB are not native to North America, there are no natural predators in our region, and most ash trees have no resistance to their destructive feeding.
Insecticide treatments for ash trees are a preventive option when utilized in the early stages and consistently thereafter.
EAB infestations are becoming widespread in the Central Wisconsin area this year. If you have an ash tree on your property and think it might be infected reach out to us for more information.
