Fun fact of the day:
Did you know Harry Houdini started out as a locksmith? He began an apprenticeship with a locksmith at the young age of 11yrs old. After a while he realized that he had a special talent for the trade which began his interest in performing his “magic” tricks of unlocking himself from crazy scenarios. After he gained a reputable career locksmiths began to feel a bit of a threat to their business with someone seemingly able to pick any kind of lock. A great number of locksmiths actually would take it upon themselves to challenge him and would create new locks and send them to him to see if he could unlock them, he always did. After a while the new locks they were making actually did become more difficult to unlock and it was impossible for him to unlock all of them so the full extent of skills isn’t exactly known. Unfortunately he ended up passing away at the age of 52 from his appendix rupturing. Although he chose a different path in life for his skills in locksmithing he is still a person to remember in our trade that made a name for our profession. 🪄🔐🔑

Had a small (very important part) fall off inside of a hurricane rated steel door, so it’s not like I was going to pull the door. I wound up taping a magnet to a drill bit and lowering it inside of the door with a cord to get it back. It’s always something! 😂
(Forgive the weird pause, I couldn’t figure out how to flip my camera 🙃)
