If you want to live out your childhood dreams, you can stay at this Barbie-inspired loft!

As soon as you step into the FullerWhite Upper Room, you’ll be embraced with pink decor and accessories that will make you feel like you’ve stepped right into Barbie’s dream house.

When renovating this loft, I carefully selected all of the design elements like the pink decor, wallpaper, and retro appliances to help create that Barbie dream house feel into this little loft.

This loft was built on-site in the backyard of the Fuller-White House as seen on Magnolia Network. There’s so much history when it comes to this little loft, starting back in the 1950s where the caretaker was smoking a cigarette and the loft burnt. It has been vacant ever since.

This renovation reminds me that there's so much beauty in the broken 💗

When I first walked into this 1920s Craftsman bungalow, it was hard to imagine what it could become. I’m so excited to show you some before and afters today of this major renovation project. Photos are by ❤️

This cottage was in shambles. It had been neglected for years and had become a place associated with drugs, crime, and hopelessness. Most people would have seen a teardown. I saw an opportunity for redemption.

Today, this same home is Phillip’s Cottage, a transitional home for women and children graduating from Louisiana Teen Challenge in Minden. What was once a place of brokenness is now a place of healing, hope, and second chances. ❤️❤️

Every room in these before and after photos reminds me why I do what I do. I believe old houses deserve another chance, and I believe people do too.

I don’t know if it’s the former teacher in me or my heart’s desire for a little bit slower pace, but sweet summertime always grabs my heart. I miss those bygone days where summer seemed to last forever and I played outside every night until the proverbial street lights came on. Summer just revives the nostalgia in me I guess. And I always love celebrating all things BBQ, blackberry cobbler, and American flags. ❤️🤍💙

I wanted to reshare this picture of my neighbors’ antebellum home that took my breath away as I walked home from downtown Minden, Louisiana one night!

Our little small town is so blessed with some amazing examples of historic homes and architecture, including a handful of antebellum homes. One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new town is to simply drive around and look at all of the old houses. Our historic residential district is filled to the brim of houses that you must drive by and see. This is just one of many examples.
