We hope you can join Seward neighbors for the annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday April 25th from 10:00 - 12:00. Meet at Zipps Liquor on Franklin Avenue for supplies and treats. We'll be doing an end to end clean up of Franklin Avenue. Bring your own water bottle, gloves, hat and sunscreen. Pickers, gloves, hi-vis vests and bags will be provided. This year's event is distinguished because it will include strategies so we have as close to a zero gain trash event as possible featuring recycling separation, a supportive bike brigade, river art and the opportunity to strengthen our Adopt A Drain participation in the Seward neighborhood.👫🧑‍🦯‍➡️👩‍🦯‍➡️👨‍🦼‍➡️🚶🚶‍♂️🧑‍🦯

☃️ Winter is here, neighbors!
As we all get our shovels ready, 36th ART has been in touch with Public Works to help ensure snow plows keep our 36th Avenue sidewalks clear.

When you see snow being pushed back onto the sidewalks, just call 311 or email [email protected].

That quick report helps the City correct it right away and keeps our walkways safe for everyone.

An invite to: Join your neighbors this week for an open house focused on traffic calming and safety issues throughout Seward. This community meeting will give residents the opportunity to share ideas for making our streets safer for everyone who walks, bikes, drives, and rolls through the neighborhood.

The Community Development Committee, including 36th ART has been working on traffic safety issues and wants to hear from you.

What’s broken can be rebuilt—together. 💪 Our *River Memory* mural has always been about slowing traffic, creativity, and care for our shared spaces. The non-profit Longfellow Community Council is partnering with us to raise the money to repaint the mural! That means your donation is tax-deductible! And, neighbors are already coming together to plan restoration and keep 36th Avenue vibrant. Acts like this remind us that the heart of our community can not be defaced.
