Smith Precision Painting LLC is owned and operated by Travis Smith. Travis is a Morgantown native, who truly loves the community in which he has lived his entire life. Travis is a graduate of Morgantown High and subsequently attended West Virginia Universit

y. In 2014 he began working as a Morgantown Police Officer. While serving his community as a Police Patrol Officer, he also earned several training instructor certifications. Travis was very passionate about training his fellow Officers to help them perform their job more safely and to aid them in better serving their community. Travis has always enjoyed working construction type jobs, especially painting, which became a trade in which he excelled. In 2021 he founded Smith Precision Painting LLC in order to provide the Morgantown area with highly skilled and exceptionally professional painting services. In January 2022 Travis left employment with the Morgantown Police Department to be dedicated full time to the operation of Smith Precision Painting. Travis prides himself on his dedication to serving his customers and to his attention to detail in his work. Does your home have worn out, flat contractor paint that shows every little scuff? Want to actually be able to clean your walls and not have to worry about leaving permanent dirt marks from just touching your walls?

These customers were very happy with the current color in their home but couldn't stand the cheap, flat paint used by the home builder. We came in and put a couple coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald on the walls to ensure their walls will hold up to daily life for years to come.

Few shots from a recent painting job out in Falling Waters. Working with Remarkable Interiors to put some finishing touches on their project for a client. Customers choose an awesome color palate, coordinated with their furnishings to create a uniquely beautiful home. Unique painting jobs call for painters with exceptional knowledge and that's what Smith Precision Painting is here for! Travis has studied with master craftsman in Europe for situations just like this.

Our customer loved their fireplace but the color of it just didn't match the rest of the house. Redoing a fireplace facade is a very messy and expensive task. They called asking if I had any ideas on how we could make their fireplace look brighter and have the color fit better with their decor. Well, it just so happened that I knew precisely what was needed.

A lime based paint was selected for the stone so the paint could embed into the stone and retain a natural look. A custom palate of multiple shades of warmer and lighter gray was made on site using lime resistant, natural pigment. This allowed for subtle variations in color to be achieved. Colors were blended together on the stones and highlights added here and there to mimic nature.

To tie everything together the mantle was gel stained with a dark stain to make it a wonderful dark accent piece. All in all this was a super fun, project with a very happy customer at the end.

New year new paint!!!

2025 is right around the corner! If you're like me, once the New Year creeps up, you start thinking about all the things you want to do in the coming year.

You may have hiring Smith Precision Painting to paint your home on your list of things you want to do. However, so will many others and we only take on a limited amount of work every year to keep our quality top notch. As Spring approaches, the phone starts ringing constantly and we book up very quickly. I encourage the early birds to call and schedule now!

Also consider having your painting completed during the cold months to get booked quickly. Professional quality paint (not from a hardware store) has practically zero volatile organic compounds with modern formulations. I'm actually rather sensitive to paint smells myself and have no issues when using most Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paints. We are have *Paint Scentscation* products as an Odor reducing additive if requested!

We love taking part in well thought out, expertly crafted projects. This one was working for a client of Remarkable Interiors, who also happened to be a customer we have painted for multiple times over the years!

First we took an old wine cellar room that was painted to immitate an aged textured Tuscan appearance and turned it into the beginnings of a Bourbon Lounge! Switching up the paint style really opened the room up and will let the new furniture and fixtures be the star of the show!

We also painted their loft area upstairs that previously was a shade of tan. Going to a nice, clean white lightened up the area and made it all seem much more spacious.

*As a side note, if anyone really digs that Tuscan look in the first picture, reach out about my faux painting services. Multi-shade glaze overs like that are one of the many faux painting techniques I have been educated on*

Recent job out in Greystone! Customer needed the trim and walls freshened up after some remodeling and the usual wear and tear of family life. We used Sherwin Williams Emerald in a modern gray to give a beautiful, long lasting finish. Finished everything off with a few accent walls in "Iron Ore" to cap off this remodel and make everything look awesome!

Had the pleasure of freshening up the Morgantown Northwestern Mutual office building. I was highly impressed with the aesthetic quality of this office building. The pride the management and staff have in their jobs is evident in the quality and care put into their office space. So when it came time for an updated paint job, the obvious choice was Smith Precision Painting!

On a personal note: I would like to thank the management and staff of NW Mutual for being incredibly friendly and welcoming while I was completing the project!
