A look inside our third trip to a church repaint in Du Quoin, IL

We want to show you a little of what a bigger job looks like behind the scenes.

This is our third trip down to a church project in Du Quoin, IL. Josh, Zaken, Levi, and George have been working through it together. Every wall in here had wallpaper that came down and got skim coated from top to bottom.
New flooring is going in, new trim is going up, and everything is getting masked off before we spray primer.

With a few guys working at once, staying organized matters.
We run a checklist on a tablet so every task gets marked off as it's finished.
Sanding, dusting, vacuuming, it all gets tracked so nothing gets missed.

Du Quoin is a few hours from home base, but for the right relationship, that's a drive worth making.
Some jobs are about more than the job.

Today is a good day to recognize the people who keep Dillinger Painting moving.

Josh, Zaken, Levi, George, and Joanne each play a different part in what we do, but it takes all of us working together to keep projects organized, communicate with our customers, and maintain the standards we expect.

Coffered ceilings like this one take patience.

Before anything get painted, the whole room gets sealed off and protected, floors covered, air scrubber running to keep dust and overspray contained while we work.

Josh took his time on this one to make sure it was done right, not rushed.

That's really what we care about most, showing up, protecting your home while we work, and treating every project like it matters just as much as the last one.

It's a big part of why so many of our clients become repeat clients and friends.

Primer isn’t always necessary, but when it is, it serves an important purpose. It can help with adhesion, seal porous surfaces, block stains, and provide a more consistent surface for the finish coat.

This poolside deck is about to get a serious refresh

Years of pool season sun and splashes have faded this older composite deck, and it's next up on our schedule.

We'll be painting and sealing the whole surface, working carefully around the railing and pool structure for a clean finish that protects the deck for seasons to come.

Keep an eye out. We'll be sharing the after shots once it's done, and this one's going to be a good before-and-after.

This one's from a church in Vincennes with a vaulted ceiling and a job that took some real planning. Chandeliers got wrapped and lifted clear, every pew covered, before anyone touched a brush.

That's Trey in the blue shirt, Zaken in the ballcap, and George finishing out the crew. Trey's no longer with the company, and honestly, we still notice it on jobs like this one. He had a lot to do with why mornings on site went the way they did.

We've been lucky with the people who've come through this crew, past and present. That's the standard we try to carry into every job, Vincennes or otherwise.
