THIS BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN CAME WITH A 2-STAR REVIEW. HERE’S WHY I’M PROUD OF IT.
Not every project goes perfectly. And this one taught us a lesson we won’t forget.
In an effort to save our clients time, I made the decision to finalize measurements and order custom cabinetry before demolition was complete. With a 5+ week lead time, the goal was to get ahead of schedule.
Well, my plan backfired.
Once demolition and rough-ins were completed, the measurements didn’t align. The result? Nearly five weeks of delays.
We owned it. Purchased replacement cabinetry, corrected every issue at our expense, and delivered the beautiful kitchen you see today.
But the story doesn’t end there.
After final payment, we received a 2-star review with some pretty harsh words about me, my team, and our processes.
And you know what? I wear those two stars as a badge of honor.
Not because we got everything right. Because when we got something wrong, we took responsibility and made it right.
This project changed how we operate. It made me a better leader and made our entire team better, from management to the guys installing the final pieces.
We’re human. We make mistakes. But we don’t hide from them.
You’ll always see the good, the bad, and the ugly from us. Because real growth doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from accountability.
Turn every loss into a lesson. Keep building. Stay relentless.
