Refinishing Prefinished Hardwood & Custom Color Matching!

These prefinished hardwood floors had seen a lot of wear, featuring deep factory bevels and a tired finish. We sanded them completely smooth, eliminating those deep grooves, and guided the homeowners through selecting a rich, custom dark walnut stain.

Custom Color Matching: Because white oak flooring and pine stair treads absorb stain differently, we tested and adjusted sample colors on both wood species to ensure a seamless, cohesive blend across the home.

Flawless Finish: Filled loose knots, applied 1 coat of rich stain, and topped it with 3 coats of low-VOC, commercial-grade Bona polyurethane for long-lasting durability.

DIY-Friendly Stairs: We refinished the treads while preserving the painted elements, allowing the homeowners to complete the risers on their own timeline.

A lovely couple in Roxborough found us at the top of Google when searching for local floor refinishing. They had pre-finished floors and were completely done with the deep beveled edges that gathered dirt and grime over the years.

Because factory pre-finished boards aren’t sanded on-site when installed, those bevels are standard. And removing them takes a lot of extra sanding power. But the effort always pays off! We flattened the surface for a smooth, solid appearance, then applied a light gray stain protected by 3 coats of commercial-grade finish for maximum durability.

Turning a pipe burst nightmare into a dream floor upgrade!

When an upstairs bathroom pipe burst in this Washington Square home, the downstairs bamboo floors were ruined. But these homeowners saw the silver lining: they used the insurance payout to upgrade from bamboo to beautiful pre-finished White Oak hardwood!

Demolition went smoothly, and luckily the subfloor was completely dry and mold-free. While floor refinishing is usually our main jam, Hudson Hardwood came in for the full installation—plus refinishing their hardwood steps to match.

The result? A durable, high-end upgrade out of an unexpected disaster.
