Cats lol
He or she was crying for help the past couple of nights. A concerned neighbor asked me for help, tried to see if any locals were missing a cat and even checked online. So we don't know much about him/her. It was too dark when I arrived last night so I made the rescue attempt today.

I haven't posted many videos recently because it's too time consuming. Usually just a few still images is quick and good enough to share the story - not this one though - need audio and video.

This cat was crying so much for help. Usually when they're vocal, they're more receptive to being rescued... usually. As I approached from above, he climbed a little lower, jumped, and ran off! 🙀 He stuck the landing and seemed unfazed when he ran away. Hopefully he gets a good meal soon and stays out of the trees 🫶

How do you have time for so many cat-in-a-tree rescues?
I don't. I have to make time by sacrificing something else.

Usually I sacrifice sleep and just wake up early enough to arrive at sunrise, but now with daylight savings time and this rescue being an hour away, I had to just leave work... Leave my team, let them finish the job, and I race out to the cat rescue.

Luckily today's rescue with Little Richard went smoothly. He was a sweet little gentleman; a little apprehensive at first, but didn't put up a fight at all. Happy to reunite him with his family waiting anxiously below!

Then I race back to the job, load my equipment in the dark, head home, and eat a reheated dinner. Worth it to be able to help so many defenseless little fur babies 🫶

Non-stop black cat tree rescues! 🙀
Maybe because it's almost Halloween 🎃🐈‍⬛👻 or maybe they saw us on TV and just wanted to get our attention 😹

UPDATE Sunday 7:45am: the cats are out of the tree, 2 on their own last night and 1 with a little help as she climbed low enough to be reached from the ground. There is still a need for potential trappers for TNR 🫶 and someone did reach out to help with that already

UPDATE: We have volunteers for around 8:30am and a backup available around 9am today! 🫶🤞 Thanks!!

⚠️ Cat Rescue Help Needed – Wissinoming, Philadelphia

Looking for volunteer help tomorrow morning around 8 AM near Wissinoming, Philadelphia, PA.

Three cats have been stuck in a tree for about 3 days. I can climb and safely get them down, then scan for microchips. I need 1–2 people who can bring 3 cat carriers and help get the cats checked out by a vet and potentially fostered.

🚨 Repeat Offender! 😹
Skye was this morning's rescue, and she was a familiar face. We first met 5 months ago in another tree that she got stuck in. She's a slow learner, but super cute though!! And she promised to stop climbing trees 😻

UPDATE: 7:20PM Peanut returned and is now safely with The Cat Collaborative 🫶❤️😻🫶❤️❤️😻🫶❤️🫶😻🫶❤️. Please go 'Like', 'Follow', and consider donating to them. They're the BEST!!!

UPDATE 8:40AM: Zuzu Bee with The Cat Collaborative is there but unfortunately the other neighbor took her cage back. Peanut is gone. We think she let her out and brought her cage inside 😿. My original contact went over and spoke with the neighbor. The Cat Collaborative is going to set traps to get her back and the other nearby strays 🫶

Poor Peanut spent 5 days stuck in a tree before I rescued her this morning. Luckily she was microchipped, so I was able to get in contact with her owner. That's where things get a little weird...

Her owner lives 30 minutes away and says she has no idea how her cat got there. Then stated that she gave her to a friend/co worker, who maybe gave her to another friend? She says she'll take Peanut back but can't pick her up until after 4pm today because she's heading to work soon. I couldn't stay or take her anywhere because I also have work. The good Samaritan who reached out to me for help can't look after Peanut but thinks she'll be fine left in the cage outside all day. I just don't want anyone else at the apartment complex messing with her, and she should probably go to a vet ASAP to get fluids.

Kitty was mostly cooperative this morning, which was a great start to my birthday! 😻🎂

He spent several days high up in that tree contemplating all the decisions that led him there. He was ready to be rescued, mostly 😹. Thanks to Delectables Cat Treats, I was able to gain his trust with a chicken puree. He was a little vocal about being picked up after his meal, but he didn't put up a fight. He was a sweet boy!
