This week on the podcast, I sat down with Andrew from to talk about something that doesn’t get talked about enough—the trades.

There are so many talented people out there built to work with their hands, create, build, and master a craft… but for years they’ve been pushed toward college or careers that never really fit them. Andrew and I talk about how that’s impacted the trades, why skilled craftsmanship matters, and why we need more people stepping into these careers.

A really good conversation and one I think a lot of people will relate to.

Episode 247 with Andrew from AKN Interiors, out now.

A lot of us don’t stay quiet because we don’t believe in what we’re building.
We stay quiet because we start thinking about who’s going to see it.
Old coworkers.
People from high school.
Family.
Random people we haven’t talked to in years.
And somehow their opinion feels louder
than the dream we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
But most of them aren’t thinking about your post nearly as much as you think they are.
They’re living their own lives, carrying their own stuff, worrying about their own next step.
Meanwhile… someone out there genuinely needs what you offer.
They would support you.
They would book with you.
They would tell someone about you.
But they can’t find something you keep hiding.
Don’t let fear make your business invisible.
You didn’t work this hard just to stay hidden because of people who were never going to build your dream for you anyway.
Post the business.
Be proud of what you’re building.
Let people see you.
The right people are looking for you, even on the days you feel awkward posting.

Memorial Day is more than a day off. It’s about honoring the people who gave everything for the freedoms we get to live every day. Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

This week’s country releases are stacked with so many fun songs getting added to the summer playlist. Now if only Memorial Day weekend would cooperate and give us some actual windows down weather 😔

I’m honored to be featured on the Interior Design Community podcast To The Trade discussing one of my favorite topics: how interior designers can market themselves on social media while building a strong brand in today’s design industry.

We talked about content strategy, personal branding, growing visibility online, and why showing up consistently matters more than perfection. Huge thank you for having me on.

Read the blog now and listen to the full episode.

Eric Dillman joins To-The-Trade to break down social media strategy for interior designers: what to post, which platforms to prioritize, how to stay consistent, and how to finally get on camera.

ACM Awards night and you know I had to put my picks on record before the show starts.

Here’s where I’m landing tonight:

Entertainer of the Year → Morgan Wallen. The numbers don’t lie and neither does that crowd energy. Nobody’s touching him right now.

Female Artist → This one is genuinely a coin flip for me. Ella Langley is having a moment and Megan Moroney leads the whole night with 9 nods. I can see it going either way and I’m here for whichever way it falls.

Male Artist → Cody Johnson. Earned. Every. Bit. of it. Also odd Morgan and Kane aren’t nominated.

Group of the Year → Red Clay Strays. If you know, you know. If you don’t, go listen right now and thank me later.

Duo of the Year → Honest answer? No clue. That category is wild this year. Not a super active with few music for the full year.

Album of the Year → I’m The Problem. It was the album of the year whether they give it the trophy or not.

Song of the Year → “Choosin’ Texas.” Ella wrote it, lived it, and that song has been everywhere for a reason.

Single of the Year → “The Fall” — Cody Johnson just hits different.

Music Event of the Year → “Amen” with Shaboozey & Jelly Roll. Come on. That collab was inevitable greatness.
