Here's the straight answer. When you hire a company that uses subcontractors, the crew showing up at your home is hired for that job. They may be skilled. They may also be working for three other companies this week. If something goes wrong in year two, the contractor you hired has limited leverage over people who no longer work for them.

Our installers are Custom Exteriors employees. They're AAMA Certified Master Installers, that's the American Architectural Manufacturers Association's highest installer credential, and most installers, even experienced ones, don't hold it.
