Join us for a workday at Morton-Taylor Trailhead (North off Michigan Ave at Morton-Taylor Rd). We will be clipping teasel seed heads to slow the spread of this invasive species. Come on Sunday, August 9th from 1-3 PM or Thursday, August 13th from 6-8 PM. Gloves and tools will be provided; arrive ready with water, bug spray, and sun protection. 📢📢 Volunteers 🙋‍♂️ 🙋‍♀️? Weird request for this time of year but we are reorganizing our layout mid-season before the fall busy push and could use able hands this week. We put up 2 new-to-us hoophouses this spring but didn't quite get buttoned up before the season opened and growing plants in unstable conditions has been a challenge. Most of the work will be carrying plants and cinder blocks from point A to B but also attaching hoses, laying hardware cloth for groundhog exclusion etc. Send us a DM if you'd like to help and of course you can take some plants home for your time and muscle! Our customer base is so amazing and honestly it's you guys that help push us through the tough days as we continue to grow and learn 💚
