Something odd caught my eye while checking out the Sarracenia. It took me a moment to realize that the bee had fallen prey to a hidden danger.

Carson Trexler - what an exceptional accomplishment!

I am thrilled for you, and so very grateful for your mentorship, friendship, and continual support. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this research and try to remember all the intricate botanical details you have taught me over the years. This is truly something to celebrate!

Congratulations!! 🌱💚

Happy birthday to this treasure of humanity. Though we have never met, he has been present every single day of my life. He shaped my ethics, my stubborn environmentalism, even the way I walk a rainy path so as not to step on a worm. In an anthropocentric world, he gently reminds us of the magic in nature. Each day he spends on this planet Earth is a gift to us all.

To your continued health and happiness, Sir David Attenborough! Happy 100th!

The third foster kitten - our shy girl! The BBs are almost 6 weeks now.

Weaning is imminent. After they are up to weight, they will be fixed and ready for new homes. I am certain it will happen before I am ready. ♥️🥹

Don’t worry love, we would never let the big bad Nepenthes hurt you.

I’d like to give a big shout out to everyone who has ordered plants recently - because of YOU, we were able to take in three foster kittens as well as their mom and dad!

Thanks to a unique set of life circumstances, I am able to spend time volunteering for two main nonprofit organizations. Each plant purchase funds these efforts and allows me dedicate more time to carnivorous plant conservation and animal rescue.

It may be a simple fundraising plea, but I’m honored to be published in this quarter’s CPN. My blurb follows an excellent article about the project itself. This vital Sarracenia conservation effort is definitely worth a look!
